CLICK TO VIEW ACTUAL PHOTO SIZE

Fragments of a large relief amphora found at Xobourgo. The decoration, arranged in bands on the neck and shoulder, includes two facing figures, one male and one female, interpreted as Theseus and Ariadne, and dancing men and women (possibly performing the "Geranos", the Crane dance of Theseus on Delos). Dated to the 7th century B.C. Inv. no. B63.
